Description (EN): Examination of hair and beard from a comb recovered from the wreck of HMS Erebus yielded no significant findings regarding the fate of Franklin's expedition: no DNA could be recovered, and due to the contamination of the hair from the surrounding environment, nothing could be determined about the health of the hair's owner.
